Our Mission
Here at Amory Humane Society our mission is to promote domestic animal welfare. Our goals include providing humane education; promoting animal welfare legislation; advocating and facilitating pet sterilization; rescuing, sheltering, and promoting adoption of abandoned animals.
Our Vision
Happy Tails mean Happy Tales! Though we are small, we strive to leave a huge impact in the lives of the animals that leave paw print on our hearts.
Our Story
Amory Humane Society is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization overseen by a volunteer board of directors, with day-to-day operations run by a few staff members. Our annual operating budget is $55,000, which we receive from the city of Amory through a municipal contract. Past that, we solely rely on your generous donations. Thank you for your kindness. Without your help, we could not save so many homeless pets.
Our kennels are always full of homeless, abandoned or neglected animals that require our attention 24/7/365. If you are looking to surrender, we cannot assure placement, but we will do what we can do to assist you with your needs within our means. If you are looking to adopt, please set up an appointment, and we will do our best to match you with a new pet.
We try to assure the best experience possible. Thus, we are by appointment only. You can reach us at 662-597-2049 (you might have to leave a message), or send us a message on Facebook Messenger under Amory Humane Society. Please be patient with us if we are not in the office or do not answer the phone. We will get back with you as soon as possible.
If you are in need of assistance with a domestic animal within the city limits of Amory, please call the Amory Police Department, and animal control will try to assist you to the best of their abilities.
